The Most Valuable Player of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16, James Palmer Jr. is also the latest Player of the Week

With Galatasaray among the entries to the Final Four of the 2024-25 edition of the Basketball Champions League, the success extended to James Palmer Jr. getting the Player of the Week nod for Game 2 of the Quarterfinals.

The 28-year-old guard outlasted Marcelinho Huertas and Giorgi Shermadini of La Laguna Tenerife, Kendrick Perry of Unicaja, and William Howard of Nanterre 92 in a fan vote to become the Player of the Week on Friday, on the heels of being named Most Valuable Player of the Round of 16.

Helping the Istanbul-based club complete a two-game sweep on Tuesday, Palmer delivered a game-high 24 points with 7/13 field goals, including six three-pointers. Over 33 minutes in Basketball Development Center, he added seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals en route to an efficiency rating of 27.
