Aris is ushering in an ambitious new era by securing a two-year deal with E.J. Liddell Jr., with only the official announcement pending. The 25-year-old frontcourt player, known for his relentless motor, defensive presence, and shot-blocking prowess, will bolster the projected BKT EuroCup outfit following a productive stint split between Brooklyn in the NBA and the Long Island Nets in the G League during the 2025-26 season.
Initially selected 41st overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, presented by State Farm, by the New Orleans Pelicans, Liddell overcame a devastating rookie-year ACL injury to make his league debut during the 2023–24 season. He later joined the Chicago Bulls on a two-way deal before finding increased opportunity in Brooklyn. During the recent 2025–26 campaign, the 1.98-meter forward averaged 5.7 points over 26 appearances with the Nets, highlighting his potential with a career-high 26-point, 10-rebound game against the Indiana Pacers, alongside a dominant 36-point showcase in the G League. Before turning professional, he was a decorated star for Ohio State.
The Illinois native arrives in Greece as part of a major roster overhaul spearheaded by new head coach Vassilis Spanoulis. With management increasing the club’s budget to contend for the EuroCup title, Aris has also been aggressively linked to established talents like Nenad Dimitrijevic, Khem Birch, and Vassilis Charalampopoulos.
