Hapoel Jerusalem, Sassari, and Zaragoza joined the playoff ticket holders with wins on Gameday 12 of Basketball Champions League

By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

The number of Basketball Champions League playoff participants increased to seven as three more teams secured a ticket on Gameday 12.

Dinamo Sassari is one of them after, despite some ups and downs, getting a road win over SIG Strasbourg which has only a slim hope remaining. Manresa lost their first game at home this season but is still in a good place with a 7-5 record at the third spot in Group A. UNET Holon gave them the loss and now chases Filou Oostende which is looking to advance to the playoffs for the first time.

In Group B, Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem is the first to advance while also keeping a perfect 6-0 record in front of the home crowd. The only team without a home loss this season. San Pablo Burgos put on an impressive performance in the win over AEK as they get past them at the second spot with a tiebreaker advantage.

Group C didn’t get any new playoff teams as the things stay heated for the remaining two spots. Nizhny Novgorod lost to Nymburk and stayed at seven wins while Peristeri winmasters are behind with the same record and Brose Bamberg is on a mission to complete things for them after improving to 6-6 with win over VEF Riga.

Casademont Zaragoza is the third team to get a playoff ticket this week after a statement road win over JDA Dijon which advanced last week. Telekom Baskets Bonn and Besiktas Sompo Sigorta follow with 7-5 and 6-6 records but nobody is out in this group yet, although PAOK is in a tough spot with 4-8 at the bottom.
