The Basketball Champions League playoff race is slowly reaching its climax with five Gamedays left in the regular season

By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

There are five more Gamedays left in the 2019-20 Basketball Champions League regular season and the playoff race is far from over. No team has yet been completely eliminated (at least mathematically) while nobody is safe yet.

Well, Tenerife is pretty safe as they hold the league-best record of 8-1 at the top of Group C. The playoff picture is quite ‘clear’ in this group but Brose Bamberg might complicate things if they catch up to Nizhny Novgorod and Peristeri winmasters.

Group D, on the other hand, is an ‘all-out war’. Telekom Baskets Bonn and JDA Dijon hold the top with 6-3 but they are far from securing a playoff ticket as even the bottom duo of Besiktas Sompo Sigorta and PAOK who stand at 3-6 have more than enough time to ‘spice things up’.

Dinamo Sassari and AEK Athens grabbed the top spots of their Group A and B respectively as they logged seventh wins but the playoff race is still going strong, especially for the fourth spot in each group.
