With a brilliant effort leading to a game-winning three-pointer, Jalen Brunson lifted the New York Knicks to a win, 116-113, over the Detroit Pistons in Little Caesars Arena on Thursday.
Breaking a tie with 4.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter, the 28-year-old combo guard sent his side to the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the 2025 NBA Playoffs presented by Google with a 4-2 score in the Quarterfinals.
In Game 6 of a best-of-seven series, Brunson ended up with 40 points. British O.G. Anunoby chipped in 22 points, five rebounds, three steals, two blocks, and one assist over 44 minutes. French Pacome Dadiet and German Ariel Hukporti did not play.
For the hosts, German Dennis Schroder completed his 2024-25 journey with nine points, nine assists, four rebounds, and one steal in 30 minutes. Italian Simone Fontecchio and Swedish Bobi Klintman stayed on the bench.
