OG Anunoby powers a dominant first-half surge as the New York Knicks secure a best-of-seven series sweep and capture their first Eastern Conference title in 27 years

The New York Knicks advanced into the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 after a dominant 130–93 rout of the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Arena on Monday, completing a sweep of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals.

Since falling into a 2–1 deficit against the Atlanta Hawks in the opening round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, presented by Google, the team coached by Mike Brown has won 11 in a row and looks unstoppable.

British starter OG Anunoby provided 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 27 minutes to help build an overwhelming second-quarter lead and stretch a commanding position throughout the second half. Checking in during the fourth quarter of a blowout, France’s Pacome Dadiet squeezed in six points with Germany’s Ariel Hukporti at two points and five rebounds, and France’s Mohamed Diawara remaining scoreless, but Poland’s Jeremy Sochan stayed on the bench.

For the Cavs, German reserve Dennis Schroder was ruled out for Game 4 due to illness, while Dutch forward Tristan Enaruna and French center Olivier Sarr both remained completely out of the active lineup.
