EuroLeague Academy Tournament comes to a close at Eurohoops Dome

Theo Paploukas presented the trophy to the winners while also sharing a few words to 100+ boys and girls that participated

The EuroLeague Academy Tournament Athens U12 came to a close on Thursday (23/5) at the Eurohoops Dome as Leonteios Neas Smyrnis won the trophy after winning 42-34 against Ellinoaggliki.

Theo Paploukas attended and was the one to present the trophy to the winning team as well as share a few words to all boys and girls who participated. He also noted that he was very satisfied with the first tournament edition: “I’m very happy with the first edition of the Euroleague Academy,” Papaloukas said. “I’m glad the project was run with the participation of the schools. I hope the standards of the tournament in the Eurohoops Dome matched the high standards of the EuroLeague.” 

The U12 tournament in Athens was the second EuroLeague Academy Tournament to come to a close for this season. The Athens U13 tournament, as well as those in Istanbul and Tel Aviv, are still in progress.
